-Traffic story

Everything is in motion!

In this compressed time, everyday life is seen in a zany light, with exchanges and movement as games whose rules are invented in the moment.

Acrylic painting on felt 180 cm x 90 cm, based on the video "Traffic story".

Based on the movements of pedestrians, humans and animals, and motorists. Traces of different movements in the village square. Observation time 10 minutes, morning 10am and evening 6pm. Cars in red, people in white and animals in orange.

Video of a day in the life of a "quiet but not so quiet" village.

-The Ants: My Unexpected Friends

Ants, which can sometimes be considered a nuisance, are fascinating creatures.

MEETINGS

- free fall of pebbles
- common cranes and thrushes
- ants

My observations of certain gatherings of animals, with their elegant movements, are fascinating. It's striking to discover the similarities between the formations of various animals and those of the gravel I've tossed into the air with a shovel. The images that can be observed with a photographic eye show a certain constellation at a given moment. It's similar to the fixed observation of stars. The challenge lies in comparison in motion.

MEETINGS

-Training in the
south stone

The formations described are the result of the accumulation of shells on the seashore during the Cretaceous period, shaped by the passage of time. My sculptures accentuate the “Zahn der Zeit” and let themselves be guided by the different hardnesses of the stone. The soft limestone parts disintegrate, releasing the shells for a new formation. In this way, I draw my inspiration from nature.

The Ants:

My Unexpected Friends

Ants, which can sometimes be considered a nuisance, are fascinating creatures.

Observing their behavior and social organization opened up a whole new world for me. This experience enabled me to develop a deep respect for these creatures and a better understanding of their vital role in our ecosystem.

My “Formicus artisticus” project was born at that point, based on an experiment: edible sculptures made of sugar and syrup, devoured by ants in just a few days.
