Can some uses of plastic be reduced or replaced?

PLASTOMG is an artistic research project developed in Provence around agricultural plastics. Starting from traces observed in the field, the project explores a paradox: a material used for a short period can persist for decades, fragment, and disappear from sight without disappearing from the environment.

Scientific exchanges with Christian Mougin, INRAE, support this research and help refine methods of sampling and documentation.

The artist transforms the traces encountered in the field to make visible a material that has become almost permanent.
